08:13 pm - trying to be profound

I don't know why things in life happen. They just seem to for no reason you can understand. I think you just have to hope that everything will work out in the end and that you enjoy life and people on the way.

09:15 pm - Crispy

So I went to the beach today with Dan and Erica. I put sun tan lotion on twice, three times on my face. SPF 30. I somehow managed to get burned a bit everywhere, b/c apparently I am retarded and didnt apply evenly.
We also got there at 6:23am b/c Dan is crazy and didn't want to pay 8$ later on. So we were there until 2:30ish. Besides the whole pain part now, it was actually a good day.

Sidenote: I usually don't get burned at all. Only about 5 times in my life. I think living in Binghamton for four years with lack of sun has effected my skin and its tanning habits.

I just had a good conversation with my roommate Sarah. We have not really talked the two weeks I have been here so far. So it was nice.

Along those lines, I feel very lonely. I miss being able to come home to my friends and have certain people to talk to every night.

I also still do not have a job and am becoming increasingly worried.

I dont think I have anything else important to say. So I think I'll stop.

06:18 pm - ahhhh!!!!!

There are only 3 more weeks of class left of my undergraduate education. It seems like it went really fast, but too slow at the same time sometimes.

What I have left to do to graduate:
1. a 15-20 paper for my history seminar
2. Finish my honors history paper, give to both readers, get comments back, fix minor mistakes, hand in to department for binding.
3. a 5 page paper for french history
4. pass swimming

It seems like not very much left to do, but there is a still tons of work for all that to be completed.

Also, I need to find housing for the month of June in the city so I don't have to commute from home. B/c that would be much cooler and faster. Did I mention that I don't want to live at home?

Anyway, facebook is still stupid, I am just avoiding all the above work.

10:57 pm - people are retarded

I have had a very frustrating night and my away message just explains the last part that was very annoying:

this girl's clothes had been done sitting in the dryer for 10 minutes so i took them out to put my clothes in, i go back to check on them and mine are backin the washer with a note saying i am not allowed to take her clothes out to put mine in, so she dried the already dried clothes some more and then has another whole load in that she didnt get to put in before mine b/c she left them there too long >:o

I am leaving tomorrow morning to drive up to RPI b/c Nate moves into his dorm tomorrow. Then bright and early thursday morning we are driving down to Washington DC. I am very excitied. I have really only been there for marches and have not seen any of the cool stuff. We even managed to get a Capitol and Library of Congress tour on short notice. And almost had a White House one if I had been around my phone one afternoon.
We are staying in this awsome expensive hotel but found this great deal and are only paying 54$ a night. Its right downtown and it is going to be wonderful.

Then its back to binghamton for a week with no one around and i am planning on writing at least half my thesis b/c i was suppose to this break and have not really written anything at all.

12:21 am - and this week...

I have my big term paper in History of Medicine due the wednesday we come back from thankssgiving break. its a 12-15 one. and i have done the unthinkable and actually started working on it before break. not only that but i have 10 pages already!! so now when i get back all i will have about 3 days to write the intro, conclusion, add another paragraph or two, and just polish it up a bit. Maybe i should have realized starting papers early is a good thing before senior year.
The week after that paper is due i have another 12-15 page paper for my philosophy class which i have done practically absolutely nothing for yet. So it is good to know i am still being me. I have big huge group presentation for that class that same week the paper is due as well.
And lets not forget all my honors thesis work. So basically the two weeks after thanksgiving are going to be hell and full of work. So therefore i must complain about it here to everyone.

Thanksgiving break should be awsome though. Home for two days seeing the family and most of my friends. Then up to Cape Cod early early thursday morning for dinner at Grandma's with the family. And eat wonderful cheesecake. Then finally friday drive to Nate's and finally get to meet people in his life.

So yeah it should be a good time. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

thanksgiving is almost here. which means good and bad things.
the bad is that the semester is really almost over and i have so much work to do.
and the good is that i will be eating dad's homemade cheesecake soon!! and of course seeing lots of cool people again!

and im fully convinced that they are just not heating our apartment this year.

for all of my friends who think i made up Mary to seem like i had more friends and only said her last name was Carr b/c i knew you were onto me so i looked out the window and that is the first thing i saw that could make a last name:

Auto response from MTS182: Dear Red Sox,
I would like to congratulate you on 86 years of losing baseball. Also, since you apparently haven't showered or cut your hair in 86 years, please feel free to go ahead and do that.
You still suck,
Mary Carr
